Hospice Aide (STNA/CNA) – Home Care

Location: Dayton and surrounding areas
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • No evenings or weekends required
  • Predictable daytime schedule for consistent work-life balance

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct personal care to hospice patients in home settings
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral care
  • Support patient safety and proper use of medical equipment
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding and nutrition as needed
  • Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure) as directed
  • Monitor skin integrity and assist in preventing breakdown
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN Case Manager
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families
  • Offer respite care for caregivers

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Active State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Listed on the state nurse aide registry in good standing
  • Current BLS certification
  • Understanding of hospice philosophy and end-of-life care
  • Strong communication, compassion, and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hospice, home health, or long-term care
  • Comfort providing care to terminally ill patients
